Robert S. Meyring is the managing attorney of Meyring Law Firm (established 2007). Before law school, he worked as an FDA investigator, was a Peace Corps volunteer high school science teacher in Tonga, South Pacific, and was the owner/operator of a residential landscape firm.
Robert is a 20-year member of the estate planning and probate section of the Atlanta Bar, a fiduciary section member of the Georgia State Bar, a frequent speaker to civic and church groups, a 10+ year volunteer attorney at the Fulton County Probate Court, and a regular instructor of Trusts & Estates courses for seniors at the First United Methodist Church of Marietta. He is an accomplished litigator in the Probate Courts and Superior Courts in the resolution of matters related to estates, guardianships, and Trusts.
Robert is the former director of the Vinings Business Association and the Vinings Village Civic Club, as well as a member of the Cobb and Fulton Counties’ business associations. He is a 15-year columnist for a local newspaper, authoring helpful articles focused on educating about wills, trusts, estates, and probate as relayed from personal stories and professional experience.
An experienced cyclist, Robert rode to Washington, D.C. in 2016 from Atlanta, Georgia in five days. There, he swore in at the U.S. Supreme Court as a member of the U.S. Supreme Court Bar before the eight sitting justices.
Currently, Robert lives in Vinings Village in the Atlanta area. He is married to Shannon, an Atlanta Vinings native and they have one son. Robert‘s hobbies and interests include urban and long-distance road cycling, running (including with his husky!), music, guitar, piano, volunteering, and traveling.
Robert is licensed to practice in all Georgia courts including all U.S. district courts and the U.S. Supreme Court.
